Thomas and Gerald are grateful. Together they opened Labstelle in 2013. Today some guests have become friends. People who have come back again and again after their first visit, and staff members who give their all to keep it that way. Christin is one of them. She manages the office, plans and organizes events.

Many in our kitchen team have been on board since day one. Here, everybody knows everyone and everything. The only thing we don’t know is compromise. This claim is shared by the whole team around head chef Matthias and his sous chef Theo. What works is made by ourselves, smoked, cured, baked—old methods and new. Hip-hop is played; preferably old school.

Restaurant manager Kathi holds all the strings together. She makes sure that the Werkl – as they say in Vienna – is running. She is also your contact person for parties and events in the Saal. Next to her is Daniel, our sommelier. Daniel has been our sommelier for quite a while now. This proves true again and again: If you love wine, you love Daniel. The selection is large, both national and international. Our bar team, Jan & Kathi, are responsible for the homemade lemonades and cocktails at Labstelle – they make sure that our guests feel completely at ease.
